Lash lift vs lash extensions: which is right for you?
Both give you fuller-looking lashes without mascara, but they work in opposite ways. A lift curls the lashes you already have. Extensions add new ones.

Side by side
The main differences at a glance:
- What it does: curls your own lashes from the root (lift) vs adds length and volume (extensions)
- Lasts: about 6 weeks (lift) vs 3 to 4 weeks, with infills every 2 to 3 weeks (extensions)
- Upkeep: none (lift) vs keep them dry for 24 to 48 hours, then daily cleaning and brushing (extensions)
- Price at Haven: £45 (lift) vs £60 classic or hybrid, £65 Russian volume (extensions)
Choose a lift if
A lift suits you when:
- You like your natural lashes and want them curled and more open.
- You do not want regular appointments to keep them looking good.
- You want to keep wearing your own mascara now and then.
Choose extensions if
Extensions suit you when:
- You want visible length and fullness, from natural (classic) to dark and full (Russian volume).
- You are happy to come back for infills.
- You have an event and want lashes that look done from the moment you wake up.
Before either
Book a patch test at least 24 to 48 hours before your first treatment, and come with clean eyes and no mascara on the day.
