Threading vs waxing for eyebrows
Both remove hair from the root. Threading gives a more precise line, and nothing hot or sticky touches your skin, so it suits sensitive skin. At Haven, eyebrow threading is £6 and an eyebrow wax is £8.

Side by side
The main differences:
- How it works: a twisted cotton thread lifts each hair (threading) vs wax that grips and lifts the hair (waxing)
- Precision: threading shapes hair by hair, so it is ideal for brows
- Skin contact: no chemicals and very little contact with the skin (threading)
- Price at Haven: eyebrow threading £6, eyebrow wax £8
Choose threading if
Threading suits you when:
- Wax leaves you red or sore.
- You use retinol or acne creams.
- You want a precise, defined shape.
How long does it last?
Threading usually lasts 2 to 4 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. Every 3 to 4 weeks keeps the shape crisp. If you are growing your brows out, leave it 6 to 8 weeks and we will tidy only the stray hairs.
Aftercare
For the rest of the day, skip makeup, fake tan, saunas and touching the area. A little redness is normal and usually fades within an hour.
